Does Shasta County Need Foster Parents?

There are an estimated 530* foster children in Shasta County. With only 139* licensed Shasta County foster homes, committed, caring foster families are desperately needed.

Foster parenting is a significant and rewarding opportunity that helps shape brighter futures. With guidance and support from caring adults, children and youth in foster care are capable of realizing their fullest potential.

Foster parents change lives one child at a time. They believe in investing in the future of our communities children. Whether you are married or single, live in an apartment or a house, have a stay at home partner or not, you can be a foster parent. Follow this link www.co.shasta.ca.us/html/DSS/CFS/FosterParentingMainPage.htm or call Shasta County licensing at 530-229-8122 or 225-5793 for more info.
